How do I know if the Covid-19 vaccine is safe?

It is a good idea to consult with your health care provider regarding your personal care. They will have current information for you or you can reach out to our pharmacists at your preferred location.

Would you recommend getting the vaccine?

Yes, we would recommend persons identified as a candidate consider getting the vaccine, weighing the benefits vs the risks. When it becomes available to the public, it is important for each person to work with their health care provider to weigh the benefits vs the risks and make an informed decision. Please see some information below on those who should NOT get the vaccine.

CDC considers a history of the following to be reason NOT to get vaccinated with either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines:

  • Severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) after a previous dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or any of its components
  • Immediate allergic reaction of any severity to a previous dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or any of its components (including polyethylene glycol [PEG])*
  • Immediate allergic reaction of any severity to polysorbate (due to potential cross-reactive hypersensitivity with the vaccine ingredient PEG)*
How does the vaccine work?

Each vaccine works a little different. Some vaccines require two doses and another only requires one dose. Full effectiveness from the vaccine will be 2 weeks after receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 weeks after one dose of the Johnson & Johnson. How much does the vaccine cost?

Vaccine doses purchased with U.S. taxpayer dollars will be given to the American people at no cost. However, vaccine providers will be able to charge administration fees for giving or administering the shot to someone. Vaccine providers can get this fee reimbursed by the patient’s public or private insurance company or, for uninsured patients, by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Provider Relief Fund.

If I have already had COVID, should I still receive the vaccine?

Is Trig's planning to remain open?
Our doors remain open and our associates are committed to continuing to serve our customers.

Will Trig's open earlier or close later?
We are maintaining our regular store hours:

  • 5 am – 11 pm:  Rhinelander, Tomahawk
  • 6 am – 10pm:  Eagle River, Minocqua
     

Will Trig's offer special hours for seniors or immunocompromised individuals?
We have scheduled priority shopping for our seniors, pregnant women, or those who may be immuno-compromised to shop from 7-8 a.m. daily.

We recognize everyone has different circumstances and may be in need of our services that open later than our store (e.g. pharmacy) so we will keep hours open to everyone at all times but ask that you honor the above time as much as possible. We appreciate your understanding and support. We also recommend using our online grocery delivery and pickup services at TrigsToGo.com.

 

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

When are you receiving more product?
We are working with our suppliers to replenish product as quickly as possible. We have no reason to expect long-term shortages for the vast majority of our products, but we may experience sporadic product shortages.

What is Trig's doing to ensure product availability?
We may periodically need to implement temporary purchase limits on high-demand products. Look for signage in-store or indications of limited quantities while shopping on TrigsToGo.com for specific quantity restrictions.

Will Trig's be offering rain checks?
Because we can’t predict the supply of products or what inventory levels may be, we will not be offering rain checks until further notice.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

What is Trig's doing to ensure the health and safety of its customers and associates?

  • Out of respect for our associates and other guests, we ask that you please practice social distancing when shopping in our stores.
  • We are reinforcing our already stringent sanitation efforts in our stores, distribution center, manufacturing facility and main office.
  • We are asking our associates to stay home if they feel unwell and are supporting them financially to enable this. We encourage our guests to use our online grocery shopping service for pickup or contactless delivery at TrigsToGo.com if you are feeling ill.
  • We have installed plexiglass shields in close contact areas of the store for the protection of our associates and guests.
  • We encourage face coverings in accordance with CDC guidance. 
     

What is Trig's doing to increase sanitation efforts?

In addition to already strict sanitation and food safety standards, we’ve put in place additional resources dedicated to cleaning at each store. We also have hand sanitizer and cart wipes available throughout the store for guest use.

Is Trig's currently accepting returns?
To mitigate risk, we will generally not be accepting returns or issuing refunds at this time. However, we always stand behind our products and will issue a refund or exchange if a quality issue arises.

Will Trig's continue to have food and beverage sampling in the store?
We have a limited number of product demonstrations and sampling events. Any such event will be staffed, with precautionary measures in place so you can feel confident as you discover new offerings in our stores.

 

GROCERY DELIVERY AND CURBSIDE PICKUP

Is TrigsToGo.com grocery delivery and curbside click & collect still available?
Yes. Our e-commerce site is available 24/7 for you to schedule delivery or click & collect (pick up) of your grocery order.  We offer contactless delivery and pickup.  We want to provide you access to your favorite Trig's products while helping you feel safe, whether that is to practice social distancing with safety precautions while visiting us in-store, or shopping TrigsToGo.  Our goal is to provide you with the quality products and personal service you have come to know with our stores, even when you choose to visit us online!
