At Trig’s, we Love it Local, and we are happy to help your organization hold a successful fundraising event and provide useful information meant to help you create an effective sale. Please scroll down to our information and FAQ section below for a complete list of requirements to use the brat hut, what to bring, shopping list, etc. Should any additional questions or concerns arise, please feel free to visit our Guest Services counter for assistance.

Trig's Brat Stand Available For Reservations

You may sign up for a reservation between Feb. 22 - Sept. 14

The Trig's Love It Local Brat Stand is available for reservations between April 1 – Sept. 16. If you need a date outside of these calendar dates, please reach out directly to the store director at your preferred location. Complete the form below to reserve your dates! Each store requires a 48-hour notice for all sign ups. The optimal grilling times are from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. with at least two hours of setup time allotted.

Get Ready for Your Big Day

On the day of the Brat Stand, you must bring your signed Brat Hut Agreement and pay a $25 deposit.
Please note, Trig’s or Village Market reserves the right to request verification of your organizations non-profit/charitable status.

Information (Check lists) & FAQs

All of the information below is included in the Brat Hut Policies & Procedures. Please refer to this document and the Brat Hut Agreement for complete details for your event.

Brat Hut Requirements
  • Qualifying organizations should be nonprofit and Tax Exempt 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 status.
  • Upon arrival, please stop at Guest Services or see the Front-End Supervisor for the key to the brat hut and an empty cash drawer.
  • We recommend that you designate one person to handle the cash drawer.
  • Safe food handling procedures need to be followed, which includes wearing gloves while serving food. If you handle money or touch other things, you will need to change gloves again before going back to handling food.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize buckets will be provided.
  • A handwashing station will be provided.
  • The organization doing the sale will purchase the items needed for the sale based on the preset reduced pricing. Everything must be rung up at Guest Services before going out to the brat hut.
  • Additional supplies can be purchased as need arises during the sale. Please stop by the service desk each time you replenish.
  • Any profit made during the sale, after purchases have been made, will be the property of the organization.
  • Donation or Tip Jars are optional and should be furnished by the organization if one is desired.
  • Due to health department regulations, opened cans or jars of condiments or other products from a previous event cannot be used, nor can open items be saved for a future sale.
  • All product must be purchased from Trig’s.
  • You are welcome to display appropriate signage for your organization during your sale, however, we ask that you refrain from using nails or screws in the brat hut. The Store Director will work with you to find an appropriate place for your banner or sandwich board. If you have any questions regarding sign use, please contact the Store Director or Guest Services.
  • 24-hour notice for any cancellations is kindly requested so that we can offer the brat hut to another organization. Failure to do so could affect future bookings.
  • We recommend at least 4 people run your event. At least 2 of the 4 people should be adults.
  • Sales should begin no later than 11am. Please arrive an hour early to set up. Some groups may choose to stay open for lunch only, however, groups who elect to stay open tend to have success with a dinner rush. Please coordinate your event hours with the Store Director in advance.
  • All members of the group should have tasteful attire. Shirts supporting your organization are great, but not required.
  • Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted in or around the brat hut.
  • Safety first. Please keep children away from the grill and parking lot. Keep the grill area attended at all times. Your Grill Master should be 18 years of age or older.
  • Before you leave, please make an effort to ensure items are left clean and ready for the next group to use.
    • Grill
    • Services wiped down
    • Nesco and utensils can be placed in a cart and taken to the deli to wash
    • Cooler - wiped out and left open
    • Trash can be disposed of in the trash compactor at the back of the store. Please see Guest Services when you need assistance with this.

- Meat Cooler
- Ice
- Food Service
- Approved Gloves
- Napkins
- Nesco (additional Nescos or Crockpots may be available upon request at some locations)
- Utensils
- Meat Thermometer
- Coffee Pot/Carafe (Availability varies by location. If you intend to serve coffee, please talk to the Store Director.)
- Trash Can and Bags
- Hot Pads
- Empty Cash Drawer or Bag
- Handwashing station
- Hand Sanitizer Rags and Paper Towels
- Cleaner/Sanitizer, Sanitizing Buckets
- Hairnets (Upon request. Clean and appropriate personal hair restraints and/or hats may be used).
- Broom/Dustpan

It is Recommended You Bring...
  1. Cash for making change. We recommend $85 of start-up money. We will be happy to make change for your start-up money as needed. Quarters, fives and singles are recommended.
  2. A sign for your organization (If you need help creating one, our Postal Express locations in Rhinelander or Eagle River can assist with this. 
  3. Donation/Tip Jar
  4. Personal hair restraints and/or hats
